As any VW (Volkswagen) campervan owner will tell you, our van - Daisy - is very special.

An original Right hand drive, type 2 bay window camper, she hails from 1973 but has recently (summer 2010) been totally refurbished, painted a beautiful two tone banana yellow and pastel white and refitted inside with a stunning interior.

Technical details

She sports a refurbished VW 2 litre engine so she still emits a wonderfully nostalgic growl when she hits the road, but importantly you can rest assured she is in great working order.

The drive of your life

Right hand drive, with an automatic gearbox and servo brakes (system that intensifies the force of the foot on the brake), she is easy to drive. Just hop up onboard, enjoy the elevated views and let her take you wherever you want to go. Of course, being an original 1970's VW campervan speed is not of the essence - most campervans prefer to cruise along at a relaxed pace, though you should comfortably achieve around 60-65 mph, and get around 20-25 miles to the gallon.

Luxurious retro living

The living area has been totally sound-proofed, insulated and revamped with kitsch retro styling - the re-sprung and foamed seats have cream vinyl trimmed with yellow and set the mood for an airy and relatively spacious lounge/kitchen/bedroom.

Little ones

There are three-point seatbelts for four or five people which can accommodate child and baby car seats. As an original right hand drive the sliding door is kerbside and there's a step for hopping in and out.

Sleeping arrangements

The campervan can comfortably sleep up to four people in two double beds. Or if you want to hook up with friends, why not go 'super spacious' and take our free standing awning. It connects to the van and is fully enclosed from the elements - great for a further two people to sleep on an inflatable double bed or a perfect place to spend late evenings while the little ones are safely tucked up in bed.

Home from home

Naturally you will want your VW experience to be as comfortable as possible, so we have all the mod cons you will need, including:

• Gas hob and grill
• Fridge
• Sink (with running water of course!)
• Electric sockets 12V and 240V AC
• Central heating (gas or electric powered)

So as the sun sets on another fun day out and you retire to the campervan you can chill out with a cold beer, listen to your favourite tunes, charge your phone, shave as you would at home or even plug in the old hair straighteners ready for a night out!
