Hiring the campervan

  • What is included in the hire?

    Everything you'll need. And there is no restricted mileage allowance!

  • Where is Boutique Camping based?

    On the border between Berkshire and Oxfordshire - specifically in Goring on Thames a beautiful village located on the Ridgeway that has recently been hailed 'South of England Village of the Year'.

    You can reach us easily via the M4, M40 or M3 or we can collect you from one of the following train stations - Goring & Streatley, Didcot Parkway or Reading.

  • How can we contact you?

  • Can I leave my car with you?

    Yes. Your car can be kept in our off-road residential parking area, but it is left at your own risk.

  • Can you arrange to collect us from Gatwick or Heathrow airport?

    We can pick you up from Reading train station which has a direct coach service to Heathrow (RailAir) and a direct train link to Gatwick.

  • Can you deliver the campervan to my home?

    Yes, for a nominal fee we can deliver the campervan to any address within a 20 mile radius. Please contact us to discuss this option.

  • What time can I collect/return the campervan?

    You can collect any time from 2.00pm onwards and we ask that you return the van between 9am and 11am on the agreed day.

  • Can I hire the campervan for longer than a weekend?

    If there is availability, yes. Please contact us with your dates and we will see what we can do.

  • Can we hire the van for a birthday, wedding or event?

    Yes, if we have availability. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

  • I want to book. What do I do next?

    You will need to complete the booking form and provide a non-refundable booking deposit of £150 to confirm your reservation. On completion and submission of a booking from you are agreeing to our Terms and conditions of hire. Once the funds have cleared you will then be sent a receipt and confirmation of booking.

Insurance

  • How old do I have to be to hire from boutiquecampers.co.uk?

    Our insurance covers us for drivers aged 25-70. There are exceptions allowed outside of this age range but this would need to specifically agreed with the insurance company.

  • Who can drive the van?

    Any named drivers, aged 25-70, who have held their licence for at least 2 years. We will need to see all driver's driving licences and a utility bill belonging to the main driver.

  • I have points on my driving licence, is it still ok for me to hire?

    Yes, you can although we will need to run it by our insurers prior to confirming your booking.

  • I have a non-UK/EU driving licence, can I still hire from you?

    Yes, as long as you hold a valid full International Driving Licence and but this would need to specifically agreed with the insurance company in advance and you may have to pay an insurance surcharge and/or an increased deposit.

  • Can we take the campervan abroad?

    Absolutely. If you let us know at the time of booking we willl make sure that you have the right insurance and AA cover. We will even provide you with necessary headlamp deflectors and two-pin mains electricity adapter if required.

  • Are my personal belongings insured?

    Not by our insurance, but your household policy should cover you.

Usage

  • Are pets allowed in your campervans?

    Unfortunately not. While we have nothing against furry creatures, we believe the campervan should be kept pet-free so that even those with allergies can enjoy glamping in style.

  • Can I smoke in the campervan?

    We have a strict no smoking policy. Any damage caused by smoking will be charged to the hirer, along with any extra valeting costs that are required. Of course, we have no objection to you enjoying a cigarette out in the fresh air.

  • Is there any mileage restriction on use of the vans?

    No. Go as far as you like - just come back!

  • Do we need to book a campsite in advance?

    We would advise that you book your campsites in advance, particularly during the peak season and school holidays. Check out our useful links page for suggestions.

  • What happens if I break down?

    You will have the peace of mind of full AA breakdown cover.

  • What type of fuel does the camper take?

    Unleaded petrol.

  • How are the cooking facilities fuelled?

    The camper is supplied with a LPG gas bottle which fuels the stove and grill. There should be plenty included in the price to last for the duration of your trip, but on the off-chance you run out simply replace the bottle at a petrol station, camping shop or Calor Gas centre, keep your receipt and we will reimburse you the cost on your return.
